Gianna - if you had the chance to know your dad, you would have loved him more and more each day.  You would have looked for all his traits in any man you dated (if he even let you date).  Throughout your sweet life, he would talk to you all the time.  He would dream about all the things he would have done for you like playing with you, having you sit on his lap, holding you, dancing with you and making you laugh.  I remember when we first found out about your diagnosis, he said, "all I wanted was some company at home."  It broke my heart to hear that because it was so true.  He wanted nothing more than to have you complete our home.  But through it all, your dad would always say, "Lord, I trust you,."  Your dad would die if that meant you could live.

 

Aaron, only a man with your quiet resilience is worthy to be the father of a beautiful angel.  Thank you for loving us the way you do.  Here's to many more beautiful memories with you for all our days until we see our little girl again.
